THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a cassette bootleg of that tour when he was at Princeton. His encore was a solo performance of "You Can Have Anything You Want" and it blew me away. I lost the bootleg and was very disappointed by the version on "The Road to Return".
The solo acoustic version was so beautiful. The album version has too many instruments on it. After hoping to find the solo version again for over 16 years, you made my day! Thank you again.

you are most welcome! glad you enjoyed it! my personal favorites are.... sister soul/kimberly, because it's there, and his introduction to his composition "breakfast in the field". was hysterically funny!!! but yea, you really made my case as to why "you can have anything you want" needed to be posted. i also like the first two songs from the set... jitterboogie/lucky star..... only Michael Hedges can take a pile of crap (lucky star by madonna) and turn it into an absolute gold mine! he's done it with so many other crappy songs too.... not what you'd expect from such a gifted composer... but to me, that's what made him so special. he had such great stage presence and played with such a passion that i have not yet scene since... i truly wish he came along ten years later... (for my sake) as i did not yet get familiar with him til after his death. i'm 27 by the way, (i was only 13 when he passed away) one of my friends told me the week before my 27th birthday...."don't get famous" i burst out laughing. most of my peers have no idea who michael hedges was. Hedges was and will always be a prime example of what good music is, but should not have become now a days... something you have to look for.

it can't be said enough... his music must live on! truly one of the most innovative musicians to ever walk this earth. but i'm sure you already knew that ;)

I think that one of the last missing pieces in the Video Archive is him doing "Pinball Wizard". Most everything else seems to have been found, one way or the other, no?

DAMN! You are right! "Jumpin' Jack Flash" was amazing! Where the hell is the audio for that?!!??!

I saw him on tour do "Point A" with the Klein harp guitar. Maybe it was the "Rootwitch" tour. I believe it was the same show where he did "The Naked Stalk" and "The Jealous Tunnel/About Face". I remember him doing it because it sounded very cool without the flute part doubling the guitar melody.

Maybe, somewhere out there, someone has these gems.....
